SOLAR CHILL 14" XP

This cooler has taken the place of our previous models 1212HP and 1612HP models long ago. This new cooler is also available in 12, 24,48 volts DC and 120 or 240 VAC as well. This 14” model can cool 300 square in the low desert and up to 800 sq feet at higher elevations on a sliding scale. If you have Air conditioning for when the humidity rises during monsoon season, this unit may even cool a 1000 square foot house, if located centrally in the floor plan. This cooler uses 38 to 52 watts on 12 or 24 volt DC, and can be run direct from a 85 to 130 watt PV panel, although we recommend deep cycle batteries for best performance. The XP in the product number stands for Extra Performance, due to the standard 8" thick wet pad, a thicker pad means cooler air! (Give us a call to upgrade your older Solar Chill Models to XP!) This 14” has dimensions of 19.5" x 21" x 24", produces an air volume of up to1150 CFM. (Cubic Feet per Minute) All of our Solar Chill models now come standard with 8" inch thick pads, and 6” or extra thick 12” pads are optional. All coolers come with a 1/4” compression type of brass float valve & drain/overflow kit with a ¾” hose bib fitting on the bottom drain. Lead times are typically 1 to 3 weeks, depending on scheduling.

SOLAR CHILL 18" XP

This medium sized evaporative cooler is capable of cooling up to 500 square feet, and uses only 53 - 73 watts of electricity, can be run direct from a 85 to 130 watt PV panel, although we recommend deep cycle batteries for best performance. This Solar Chill cooler now comes standard with 8" pads, but can be purchased with a 6" or 12” thick pads upon request. This cooler is perfect for a larger bedroom or 2 to 3 car garage depending on the insulation, windows, and orientation. It measures: 24.5" x 23" x 23" and has an airflow of 2000 CFM (cubic feet per minute). This Solar Chill unit can come in 12, 24 or 48 volts DC or 120 volts AC Please note that the 18-120 model is the Hybrid model and has a direct drive DC motor and DC power supply built in, and a standard 120 volt water pump. All coolers come with a 1/4” brass float valve, drain/overflow kit. Lead times are typically 1 to 3 weeks, depending on our work-load.

SOLAR CHILL 24" XP

 

Our 24” SOLAR CHILL XP has a 24" fan with 30" tall by 8" thick CelDek pads, and will develop higher static pressures than the smallers coolers for a better fit to ductwork. Note that Southwest Solar does not usually recommend ductwork unless it is oversized and short. Call us for design assistance if you are considering ductwork. This unit will produce 3000 to 4000 CFM and uses 80 to 250 watts depending upon voltage, and can be run direct from a 120 to 300 watt photovoltaic panel (depending upon model), although we recommend deep cycle batteries for best performance. This unit is available in 12, 24, or 48 volts DC, or 120 and 240 volts AC. This unit can be built with an 8" or 12” thick pad. Note that the 12 inch thick pad will produce about 1 to 3 degree cooler air, and yield about 4% less airflow. Also the 6” thick pad will give about 5% more airflow with about 1 to 2 degrees warmer air. SOLAR CHILL 30" XP

 

The New SOLAR CHILL 30" XP has replaced the older 30" model. It has a 30" fan with 36" tall by 40” wide by 8" thick Celdek pads, and will develop higher static pressures than the 24" for an even better fit to ductwork. This unit will produce up to 7000 CFM and uses 130 to 190 watts depending upon voltage, and can be run direct from a 285 to 385 watt photovoltaic panel (depending upon model), although we recommend deep cycle batteries for best performance. This unit is available in 12, 24, or 48 volts DC, or 120 and 240 volts AC. This unit can be built with an 8" or 12” thick pad. Note that the 12 inch thick pad will produce about 1 to 3 degree cooler air, and yield about 4% less airflow. SOLAR CHILL 42" XP

 

The 42” Solar Chill is by far the biggest and Best cooler we make. With an astounding 42” fan blade, this Model can really move some air (9000 CFM)! This 42” Stainless Steel Solar Chill is available in 12, 24 or 48 volts DC, and 120 or 240 volts AC, and is capable of cooling spaces up to 2250 square feet! It uses only 200 to 400 watts of electricity! (Depending upon model and voltage.) It comes standard with an 8 inch thick Cel-Dek type of wet pad, and can be run direct from a 300 to 500 watt PV array, although we recommend deep cycle batteries for best performance. Whether your necessity is for an industrial application, or simply because you have a large home, if you have over 2000 square feet, this unit is for you!
